Residencies
The Residency Program at Espai de Marge forms the main axis and the soul of the project. In addition to providing accommodation, space and time for work, research or creation, the residencies are also a meeting place to dialogue and exchange with other residents and with artists and cultural professionals in the area. This dialogue and these interactions generate the knowledge and the inspiration that serve as source and guiding thread for the other activities organised by Espai de Marge.
To be able to participate in the residency program, you will need to have a project that can be carried out in the Espai de Marge facilities, indoors or outdoors, the development or execution of which does not entail a negative environmental impact .
Within the Residence Program, Espai de Marge offers:
- Workspace and accommodation.
- Artistic mentorship
- Possibility of making a public presentation of the worked proposal or an open door moment at the end of the residency.
- Contact with local and international networks (theatres, cultural centers, galleries, art centers…)
- A financial aid in the form of aid to research and creation.
- A reserve fund for possible production expenses.
In return, the resident artist(s) are asked to:
- Offer one or more moments of opening the process to share and establish a dialogue with other professionals and the general public.
- Spread the word within your social networks about the residence at EdM.
CALL FOR WORK AND CREATION RESIDENCES
To participate in the out-of-call residency program, you will need to pay the costs of accommodation and use of the work spaces. A work, research or artistic creation project will also be required that has an affinity with the principles of Espai de Marge and adapts to the possibilities of its facilities, and they can be requested throughout the year.
